About Baloto lottery
Baloto has been held in Colombia since 2001. For the first 16 years, the lottery draws were held using the simple matrix "6 out 45", but now Baloto is much more sophisticated. This allowed the lottery operator to add many prize tiers to the prize breakdown. Now players get to choose five numbers out of 43 and one bonus number out of 16 ("Super Ball").
The lottery draws take place twice a week — on Wednesday and Saturday at 11:00 PM local time in Bogota, Colombia's capital. The biggest jackpot in Baloto was 117 billion Colombian pesos. Sounds impressive, but this is roughly $ 30 million, which is also a tremendous amount for any player!

How to win by placing a bet on Baloto?
The Baloto lottery has nine prize categories depending on the number of matched numbers: 0+1PB, 1+1PB, 2+1PB, 3+0PB, 3+1PB, 4+0PB, 4+1PB, 5+0PB, 5+1PB (the number of regular balls matched + the number of special balls matched). To hit the minimum prize, it's enough to match the Super Ball alone. This provides a good chance of winning! The Jackpot and the Secondary Prizes differ from draw to draw. Only the prizes of the last two prize divisions remain unchanged: they amount to 5.700 pesos.
